Levels: Undergraduate Main Campus Studio Schedule Type Learning Objectives: To acquire a working knowledge of ceramic techniques commonly used in ceramic sculpture and pottery. These techniques include:, slab construction, coil, pinch, and the potters wheel. Surface techniques will include slips, oxides and glazes. Kiln loading and firing methods will be used to complete the work. Class projects are designed to reinforce techniques and enhance conceptual and creative thinking. Students leave with a full working knowledge and vocabulary of ceramics techniques, tools and forms.
