The focus of Insurance Planning is on risks that families and individuals face.
After the risk management process is introduced, various types of insurance policies are covered in detail: automobile, disability, health, homeowners’, life, and long-term care. Annuity contracts and Social Security are covered as well. Throughout the course, other topics in risk management and insurance are examined; these include the history of risk management dating back to ancient times, insurance terminology, legal liability, common insurance principles, and the basic mathematics underlying the development of an insurance premium.
