ENSC 103 - INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
This course explores critical environmental issues from a scientific perspective. Basic scientific concepts are introduced and then applied to gain an understanding ofenvironmental issues associated with human population growth, consumption and management of natural resources, global climate change, various forms of pollution, energy, and the preservation ofbiodiversity. Emphasis is placed on the key scientific principles needed to understand, analyze, and respond to these issues. This course is required for the Environmental Science major and minor, the Integrated Science Studies major, and the Environmental Studies major. It fulfills the General Education Science requirement. It does @ have a laboratory component. There is no pre-requisite.
