ECON 312 - INTERMEDIATE MACROECONOMICS
FORMERLY ECON-202: Macroeconomics is the study of the aggregate behavior of economic agents, i.e., consumers, firms, and the government. In this course, we first develop an analytical framework that explains how macroeconomic variables (such as output, employment, interest rate, investment, price level, etc.) are determined as these agents interact with one another in markets (goods market, labor market and financial market). We then use this framework to analyze the short-run economic fluctuations and stabilization policies. Finally, we take a closer look at issues and institutions of policy making.
