ENSC 230 - SUSTAINABLE NATURAL RESOURCES |
This course combines lectures, student presentations. seminar-style discussions and group projects to introduce students to concepts and issues related to the sustainable use and management ofa wide variety ofnatural resources. Specific topics include sustainable agriculture and landscaping, forest resources, fisheries, water, ecological footprints, conservation ecology, restoration ecology and sustainability on college campuses. Best practices are emphasized throughout the course. This course fulfills the Science in a Cultural Perspective portion of the TAS core for the Environmental Science major. Students from other majors are also encouraged to enroll. ENSC230 is cross listed with SUST230.
