The primary focus of this course is to examine the leadership role of the nurse in the development of healthcare policies and to explore nursing’s influence on policy makers. Emphasis will be placed on the critical analysis of health policy proposals, health policies and related issues from the perspective of consumers, nursing, other health professions and other stakeholders in policy and public forums.
