ARTS 207 - DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY |
This course will focus on digital photographic practices and on the basic principles of image making and photographic composition. Students will be introduced to color photography and will explore how color can be used as a compositional tool. The class will cover basic tools of image editing with Adobe Photoshop including color correction and color management. In addition to these skills, students will learn about the history of color photography and
contemporary photographic trends through lectures and readings, which will enable them to further develop their photographic language by understanding the connection between technique and self-expression when making pictures in a digital format. They will not only learn to communicate visually through their work but also verbally through their participation in class discussions. Throughout the course, students will work towards developing an individual vision, culminating in a final project of their own selection.
