Welcome to Materials Science. The goal of this course is to introduce the student to the theory and experimental characterization of metals, ceramics, superconductors and thermoelectrics. The course will broaden students’
theoretical preparation in the physics of materials science with an emphasis on metals, ceramics and semiconductors and help develop the thought process and experimental characterization skills needed to test existing and new nanomaterials.
