This course will examine healthcare economics and business principles and their relationship to clinical practices. Economic concepts and tools will be utilized to examine issues and solve problems/issues pertaining to healthcare and the delivery of healthcare services. Economic theories and principles will be explored that healthcare providers need to be effective leaders and decision makers. A framework will be provided for conceptualizing costs, risk, value, and strategic decision making in a competitive environment.
