MUSI 635 - SOUND RECORDING & MIXING |
Advanced study in recording arts techniques, histories and concepts. Covering a wide range of styles and genres, students will develop in-depth knowledge of microphone placement techniques, creative use of pre-amps, compressors and equalizers, and other recording techniques. Emphasis will be placed on developing creative approaches to “in-the box” digital mixing and mastering strategies using Pro-Tools as well as analog hardware based mixing techniques using Ramapo’s Audient console and outboard equipment.
