MUSI 109 - AURAL SKILLS FUNDAMENTALS |
This course teaches the foundations of aural skills: the ability to understand and identify music construction by ear. Linking musical concepts with their equivalent sounds, aural skills are essential for any person working in the music industry, including performers, producers, composers, and managers. The focus of this course will be listening, performing, and transcribing musical building blocks such as rhythm, pitch, and sound, as well as learning about instrumentations and genres in both classical and popular music. Students
need to have music notebook and pencil.
