Jane Addams is often referred to the “mother” of Social Work. She was a social worker, activist, author and a co-founder of Hull House, the longest running settlement house in the US. Many of the social problems identified by Jane Addams are problems we still have today. This one credit intensive course addresses the history of Jane Addams, Hull House and the use of digital archives. Topics will include the history of Jane Addams, creation of Hull House and impact on social work profession.
