LITR 235 - AFRICAN AMERICAN LITERATURE
A study of the development of the thematic, symbolic, and mythical strains in African American literature since 1940. The importance of literature as an art form to the African American writer and as a reflection of the Black experience in America will be stressed. This course satisfies the Culture and Creativity category of the General Education curriculum.
