|COND 158 - CARDIO JAZZ DANCE|
The cardio jazz class introduces the basic techniques and vocabulary of jazz dance. The class begins with a warm-up consisting of exercises and isolation designed to prepare the dancer for the cardio workout which follows. Across the floor sequences incorporate various dance phrases as well as isolations from the warm-up. The latter part of the class focuses on a center combination using contemporary music. A cool down completes the session. While increasing the heart rate, our goal is training the mind and body to work together while acquiring poise and grace through dance. This course is not eligible for a letter grade--Pass/Fail grading only.
