COMM 370 - JOURNALISM ON MOBILE AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGY |
Journalism on Mobile and Emerging Technology examines the role of
smartphones and other wireless devices and apps as increasingly popular
platforms for news and information production and distribution. Students
learn how to use mobile phones to report, research, write, edit and publish
and information. The course will cover audience engagement using social 1
as a reporting tool. Students will also explore how to create immersive
storytelling experiences using virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (1
techniques. Students will research the impact of artificial intelligence (AI)
machine learning on journalism, and the ethical questions surrounding this
emerging technology.
