CIVL 301 - CIVIC & COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP |
The course introduces students to advanced concepts of group leadership dynamics such as goals, norms, cooperation, and communication while focusing on notions of civic engagement within a community setting. Students will participate in class discussions, observe groups in action outside class, engage in 20 hours of independent community service and work together on a group project as a culmination of the course. This advanced course is ideal for students who currently hold or have held leadership position(s) on campus and outside the Ramapo community. The course fulfills a Civic Engagement Minor requirement.
