MBAD 609 - CAPSTONE PREP COURSE |
The Capstone Prep Course is a five-week beginning in the winter term. Students receive their respective capstone and team assignments and begin organizing themselves to undertake the research and analysis for the challenge presented to them. During the Prep Course, students will participate in a panel discussion of MBA alumni who will provide summary comments on their capstone experiences, review and discuss the role of being consultants, and undertake team building activities. Students will meet on campus once per week for the Capstone Prep Course with the Faculty Advisor.
At the commencement of the prep course students will schedule a “kick-off" meeting with senior management at the client’s local headquarters to learn the nature and scope of the project. A corporate liaison will be assigned to each team to facilitate data collection and handle student inquires. (The team and senior management will reconvene onsite again at the end of the spring term to deliver the final recommendations). Here, teams will develop the research protocol that will be needed to complete the analysis.
