In this era of data driven business process it is important for managers to consume the data correctly. Data mining, processing and analysis prepares the data to provide analytics. However, a visual presentation of the analytics is what makes the data consumption process seamless and more impactful. This course is designed for data analysts to learn the right techniques to be able to do storytelling with data. This course is based on the premise that stories have always impacted the human thinking process. The contextualizing and setting up of the data based on an event timing has been studied extensively. It has conclusively inferred that managers make more insightful decisions when they understand an event from start to finish. This course will discuss the building blocks of storytelling and will provide the guidance to students for representing their stories in Tableau. Specifically, this course will focus on building student competence in three areas 1. Components of story telling 2. Representation of data in Tableau 3. Building a story in Tableau
