THEA 204 - HISTORY OF COSTUME & FASHION |
The history of costume and fashion from the earliest civilizations to
the beginning of the 20"‘ century. The main emphasis of this course is on Western civilization, but the clothing of Eurasia and the Far East are included, particularly for its influence on Western dress. The course time will be spent on lecture and discussion with powerpoint presentations, viewing major costume films and hands on examination of period garments.
