SOSC 410 - SCOPE & METHODS IN SOCIAL SCIENCES |
In this capstone course students will synthesize the knowledge gained throughout their interdisciplinary contract major by completing a capstone research project and presentation. Through research, reflection, discussion, and writing, students will explore how their interdisciplinary degree informs their future academic and professional goals. This course provides an intellectual space for students to integrate what they have learned while pursuing an
interdisciplinary degree. This integration will be done through a capstone paper in which students explore a problem or question central to the scholarly interests. There will be opportunities to reflect on student achievements within the contract major. In addition, students will practice skills, like making presentations, which will be useful in life outside of college.
