This course will focus on issues of health care economics, financial management, and budgeting that relate to managerial decision making. The course will provide students with an understanding of financial management, management control systems, budgeting, staffing, and cost accounting. Course content will include: principles health care economics, third party reimbursement. costing, budgets and budgeting, variance, and economic evaluation methods.
