NURS 660 - LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATION IN HEALTHCARE |
This course is designed to provide an introduction and transition to the leadership role of advanced practice in nursing administration and an overview of the factors shaping current healthcare policy. The role of the nursing leader as well as the standards and regulations governing advanced practice will be explored. Topics include role theory, change theory, leadership theory, and complexity theory as they apply to advanced practice nursing. Emphasis is on transition to a leadership role and integration of the various advanced practice roles by the nursing administrator with over-sight of care delivery in complex innovative healthcare systems.
