NURS 652 - FAMILY CENTERED PRIMARY CARE IV |
This course will integrate the diagnostics and therapeutics for pediatric patients and the diagnostics and therapeutics for women experiencing uncomplicated pregnancies. The course will also integrate family planning, communication, diagnostics, and therapeutics for routine gynecological care. Students will explore relevant theories as they relate to health promotion, family stages and family communication patterns. The role of the FNP in communicating and performing a family health assessment will be explored. Students will explore evidence based interventions to promote health, communication and optimal functioning across the family life cycle. Students will analyze the impact of acute and chronic illness on the family system.
