NURS 645 - PRIMARY CARE OF ADULTS I |
This course will introduce the student to the health care management of clients in the primary care setting. The course will focus on health promotion and identification and treatment of common deviations in family health. Using a systems approach, this course will examine alterations in health, which are frequently encountered and managed by adult nurse practitioners in primary health care settings. All aspects of health promotion, maintenance, and disease management are emphasized, including but not limited to disease lifestyle modifications, nutritional needs, pharmacotherapy, client education, rehabilitation, and evaluation of treatment plans.
