NURS 640 - ADVANCED PHARMACOLOGY |
This course provides students with the opportunity to advance knowledge of pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics to apply to therapeutic use of agents. Emphasis is placed on the effects of age, culture, ethnicity, gender, pregnancy and socioeconomic factors on the selection and assessment of therapeutic agents for common health prevention and disease states. Legal and ethical boundaries for prescriptive privilege across the varied advanced practice roles of nursing will be discussed.
