GEOG 337 - NATIONAL PARKS AND OUTDOOR RECREATION |
Through case studies, this course will look at the geography, geology, history, and social impact of outdoor recreation in the United States, with special emphasis on the National Park system. Potential conflicts between management for recreation or preservation, and between financing parkland acquisition vs. development of existing sites, will be examined.
