CHEM 211L - ORGANIC CHEMISTRY I LAB
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to a variety of essential laboratory techniques applicable to the identification, purification, separation, synthesis, and analysis of organic compounds and will be of interest to students majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and related sciences. This course will introduce students to the principles of organic structure, and will learn the basic principles of infrared (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Emphasis will be placed on the techniques of organic chemistry and synthesis of organic molecules; this will include the conversion of one class of organic compound to others.
