MUSI 202 - THE BLACK EXPERIENCE THROUGH MUSIC
An introductory study of Black American music and its roots. The course examines the historic relationships between African-American music and society, recognizing this music as a form of oral literature that illuminates the African-American experience in unique ways. The course is also devoted to developing and improving aural, research and writing skills.
