COND 122 - AIKDO PRACTICE AND PHILOSOPHY |
Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art, which focuses on blending or going with an attack. Aikido emphasizes harmony in movement. The course will also focuses on finding resolution in conflict, through the blending of apparent opposites. Using spiral motion with a stable center to create force, it evokes connectedness, gracefulness, and wisdom. We will explore the physical and philosophical aspects of this unique martial art through actual practice, weapons training and discussion.
This course is not eligible for a letter grade--Pass/Fail grading only.
