COND 118 - BASIC TAI CHI CHUAN |
One major goal of the internal martial arts is to free blockages in the body/soul/spirit. This gives many benefits including more efficient and effective (powerful) movement, better health, and a sharper mind. In this course the student learns and practices solo and two person exercises from the Chen style old large frame system of Tai Chi Chuan. Chen style is a rigorous system suitable for young adults and is the original Tai Chi Chuan from which all of the others developed. Theory and history of the art are also covered. This course is not eligible for a letter grade--Pass/Fail grading only.
