This course will serve as the foundation for the students' understanding of the leadership role taken by the professional nurse in the provision of evidence based patient care to patients requiring help in meeting basic human needs. The leadership role of the nurse builds on the sciences and liberal arts to promote the mental/physical health of individuals across the life span for diverse cultures.
