INFO 342 - SYSTEMS ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
(Formerly: INFO 231) This course provides instruction in the systems-development life cycle in order to gain an understanding of how to solve today's business problems. Students will be exposed to several system development methodologies, including the waterfall, object oriented, prototyping, and agile approaches. Although there is no programming in this class, there will be numerous hands-on individual and group exercises and a student project. Students will employ graphical and other modeling tools including UML. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to understand the basics of system development methodologies, determine system requirements, and transition from requirements to analysis and from analysis to design. Introductory instruction will also be given in systems develoment project planning and management. Lab Fee.
