ARHT 341 - IMPRESSIONISM AND AFTER |
An examination of European art from the second half of the 19th century through the early 20th. Emphasis will be placed on the beginning of the vanguard tradition in art and its meaning in relation to contemporary cultural and historical experience. Discussions will focus on the works of the old masters of early modernism. Trips to art museums in New York will be required.
