In order to be able to use assistive technology in teaching, instructors across the curriculum need to know: what assistive technologies are available; how the various technologies can be used in teaching and learning environment; how to operate the various assistive technology components, how to match specific assistive technology options with specific student needs. Topics to be covered: Principles and Policy Foundations; Applications of Technology; Assistive Technology Issues; Assistive Technology Resources; and Emerging Issues in Assistive Technology.
