EDTC 611 - DEVELOPING GRANTS AND OTHER EXTERNAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT |
Education, health, social service and arts agencies depend on a certain amount of external support in order to carry out missions and programs. Grant development includes the creation of: mission statements, financials, tax-free status, governance structures and organization charts. As well as a description of the project for which funding is needed. Grant writing and the assembly of grant submissions is a complex process. A practical approach to grant development is offered through this course. Research using the internet and printed sources, proposal writing, budget development, identifying goals, evaluation and reporting are covered in depth. Participants will prepare model proposals to real funding sources.
