INFO 422 - DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS |
A study of ways in which computers can clarify complex data needed for making strategic business decisions. Students will acquire introductory knowledge of decision theory and methods of making best decision in complex situations. Topics will include optimization and linear programming, network modeling, regression analysis, time-series analysis, simulation, and decision analysis. Problems will be analyzed using advanced spreadsheet tools, especially those in the Microsoft Excel software. The course will be mainly taught in a distance learning mode with several supporting in-class meetings.
