MGMT 343 - LABOR RELATIONS
This course emphasizes the balance between worker (labor) and employer (management) rights and responsibilities within the modern, global, worforce marketplace. Students will learn how to strike a balance between employment relationshp goals or efficiency, equity, and voice, and between the rights of labor and management. Topics covered include the history of the U.S. labor movement in international perspective, labor law, union organizing, bargaining, labor disputes and resolutions, empowerment, partnership, and globalization. This is a hybrid course that will take place both on-site, in the classroom, and online using Moodle.
