COMM 290 DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCTION. In this course, students learn to use digital media tools to design for print and screen output. Students learn how to edit, enhance and prepare photos for multiple forms of media. Additionally, students create layouts for the web. Crucial concepts like resolution, raster vs. vector and pixel value will be covered in depth as well as the fundamental principles of contemporary graphic design. Creative assignments incorproate digital photography, typography and layout design. Digital Media Production is the gateway course for upper level Visual Communication Design production courses.
