The history of costume and fashion from the earliest civilizations to the end of the 20th century. The main emphasis of this course is on western civilization, but the clothing of Eurasia and the Far East are included. The course time will be spent on lecture and discussion with Powerpoint presentations and a field trip and viewing major costume films.
