INFO 444 - INTELLIGENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
A study of the fundamentals of intelligent information systems in business environments including methods of expert systems, fuzzy logic, neural networks, mobile intelligent agents, and others. Students will develop the ability to analyze business and organizational problems from the point of view of insufficiency of specific types of intelligence, methods of acquiring or developing it, and cost/time assessment of such intelligence-enhanced business processes. Applications of these methods will include some aspects of e-commerce, adaptable manufacturing, organizational knowledge management, planning under uncertainty, and robotics. The course will include lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises. The course will be taught in a distance learning mode with several supporting in-class meetings. Lab Fee.
