INFO 315 - COMPUTER LAW AND ETHICS
An interactive, broad-based course for students interested in technology and ethics. Students will participate in mock trials, role plays, and frequent group assignments. One paper, very specific to one or more issues in the course, will be required. Each student will also take part in a class presentation. Some topics covered are: computer waste and mistake, health and environmental concerns related to computing, gender-based issues, computer fraud, cookies and click-stream tracing, email privacy, misuse of digital data, intellectual property issues, computer crime, hate sites, and management of technical professionals. Students must have knowledge of MS Office and facility with the Internet. All business students gain this expertise through Principles of Information Technology, a required course for business majors. Lab Fee.
