ENST 360 - OCEANOGRAPHY |
A general introduction to the physical nature of the oceans (origin and evolution, seawater and sediments) will be followed by study of atmosphere-hydrosphere interactions (circulation, currents, waves, and tides). Emphasis will be placed on shorelines, where humans are most affected by marine processes. During the second half of the class, we will investigate environments, habitats, and ecosystems unique to the ocean world.
