ENSC 322 - EFFICIENT SOLAR DESIGN |
A study of the architectural, environmental and engineering design considerations for planning and building energy efficient solar homes. The course will include state-of-the-art analysis of super-insulation, passive solar, air-to-air heat exchangers, and radon-resistant construction, as well as the basics of heat loss and thermal energy flows, energy conservation techniques, landscaping, and site evaluation. Recommended for students in environmental studies and science, and more generally, for students interested in architecture, design and the environment.
