CHEM 446 - ADVANCED BIOCHEMISTRY
This course offers advanced biochemical studies of the structures and functions of amino acids, nucleic acids and proteins. The knowledge of structures of proteins and their complexes afford understanding of biological processes. This course will provide in-depth studies of structural principles of proteins and nucleic acids, three-dimensional structures of proteins and their complexes, structure-function relationships of proteins from various functional families, enzyme catalysis and kinetics, production and purification of proteins, structure determining methods of proteins and their complexes, and the molecular level approach to medicine.
