CHEM 220 - DESCRIPTIVE INORGANIC CHEMISTRY |
This course picks up where Fundamentals of Chemistry leaves off: with a more in-depth treatment of atomic theory, bonding, intermolecular forces, acid-base behavior, and reduction-oxidation properties in order to better understand the important, interesting, and unusual elements of the Periodic Table. The course is designed to provide students with a foundation in the essential aspects of descriptive inorganic chemistry and a thorough preparation to take the Praxis examination for teaching secondary school chemistry. This course is not recommended for chemistry or biochemistry majors.
